Established in 1991, the Sogang University Research Institute for Life and Culture pioneered bioethics in Korea, which was uncharted territory. It has dedicated itself to research and activities, holding 33 international and national academic seminars.
Due to bioethics's interdisciplinary nature, it is worthy of praise that it has brought the topic of life to the forefront of interreligious, intercultural, and interdisciplinary dialogue, thus promoting the universality of the Catholic Church in our society.
