For more than a decade, he has been conducting research with the single goal of giving hope to people with incurable diseases and has achieved the approval of a stem cell therapy for ALS.

Despite the insufficient conditions for animal testing in Korea, Professor Jin has secured key research projects in Korea and has been dedicated to animal testing. Professor Jin has been conducting basic medical research using adult stem cells since 2000.
The research on disease-specific mechanisms of adult stem cells is outstanding, and the research on Niemann-Pick disease, a rare and incurable disease, has been recognized as having made a remarkable contribution and impact in identifying the pathogenesis and developing a cure.

Father Kim Jung Woo graduated from The Catholic University of Korea and earned his doctorate in ethical theology from the University of Vienna, Austria. He is the author of 'Biotechnology and Catholic Ethics', 'Capital Punishment and Human Dignity', and 'Understanding Death', and has made notable research achievements in the field of bioethics.
In particular, 'Christian Ethics in the Postmodern Era' presents the Church's concerns and perspectives on the most acute issues facing Korean society today, including suicide, embryonic stem cell cloning, conscientious objection to military service, the death penalty, and brain death.

In 2009, St. Paul Mobile Clinic opened in Pokhara, Nepal, in response to the charity of the early missionary sisters.
The clinic has been in operation for about six years, treating and preventing metabolic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes for more than 1,000 people a year, and helping people from the lower classes, who are often trapped in the cycle of poverty in Nepal's strictly caste-based society, find dignity and develop healthy lives.

For more than five years, he has consistently researched the treatment of liver failure using stem cells and has published six papers, including five SCI papers.
